Located in northeastern Burundi in the Kirundo province, Kalico is an experienced coffee exporting, processing, and production company. The coffees carry the well appreciated flavor profile of Burundi coffees, red fruit, sweet, with brown spice flavor notes. The company operates 7 washing stations throughout the region at altitudes over 1700 meters where the best specialty coffees are grown and processed. As one of the founding members of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance Burundi Chapter, Kalico owner Angel Ciza, the company has devoted washing stations focused on building gender equity programs.
